Week 1 - Activity 1

Hey guys, how are you?

This week, for your online activity, you will have to write your own academic biography. To do this, refer to the biographies you have studied in class; they will help you improve your writing. You can mention the schools you have studied, the courses you have taken, your research interests and so much more!

You are going to post your academic biography here. It is due next Monday (April 15), 11:59 p.m.

Have a great week J

  10. Tiago Gualberto Bezerra de Souza has started his studies on physics at the Institute of Physics of the University of São Paulo (IFUSP), São Paulo-SP/Brazil, in 2008. There he has spent four years in order to conclude his barchelor degree. By the time, he has joined to a program of young researchers called “Iniciação Científica (IC)” and has worked with the Group of Liquid Crystals (GFCx) under guidance of professor Antonio Martins Figueiredo Neto. In that occasion he developed a work with Ferrofluids. The ferrofluid study concerned mainly in some of its properties like induced magnetization and optical birefringence. The work was awarded the “Honor mention” in the 19th International Symposium of Scientific Initiation (SIICUSP) for its results. (*He*) was also awarded by the Experimental Physics department with a scientific trip, (*one*) opportunity for undergrad students to conclude their courses abroad. He finished his B.S. degree at the Bayreuth Institute of Physics, Baviera/Germany in 2012 (*,*)where he made Magneto Rheological measurements in Ferro-Gels samples and studied their behavior. At the moment he has been studying the effect of fluorescence of some molecules, specially Porphyrin molecules, with the Photonic Group of University of São Paulo, São Carlos-SP/Brazil(*,*) in order to get his master’s degree.

    P.S.:
    Hello Camila!

Actually I don’t know where I should post the second version of the writing task. So I am posting here!
I do have some doubts. I invented a notation for highlight the words I don’t know how to correct. The problematic word is between (**). Please If there is a better way let me know. Thanks a lot!
